How do insurers make their money?
Any student of Warren Buffett might start with the word "float".
But of course investment returns that insurers make from their premium income have been in short supply since the financial crisis.
Maybe that's why Lemonade co-founder Daniel Schreiber has a different explanation for how the insurance business model works.
In a Business Insider article this week, Schreiber asserted: "The way insurance providers make money is by denying your claim."
