Opinion: Oklahoma run-off

Opportunity is knocking for Oklahoma on the legacy transactions front.
Legislation may find its way to Governor Mary Fallin's desk by May. If it does and she signs it, Oklahoma-domiciled insurance entities will be able to buy run-off liabilities and get the finality of a court order starting 1 November. The procedure is very much along the lines of Part VII transfers in the UK.
This could mean a diminished role for Vermont, Connecticut and, especially, Rhode Island - states...
