Ex-lawyer Randell named as FCA chair

The UK Treasury has named former Slaughter & May lawyer Charles Randell as chair of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
He will replace current chairman John Griffith-Jones on 1 April this year. The role has a five-year term.
Randell has held a number of senior regulatory and advisory government roles and is a specialist in corporate finance law, financial stability and banking sector assets.
