Eiopa chairman reiterates 90% cession limit

The head of the pan-EU insurance regulator has warned carriers setting up a post-Brexit presence in the trade bloc not to reinsure everything back to London.
Gabriel Bernardino, chairman of the Frankfurt-based European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (Eiopa), told a Reuters conference yesterday that carriers should plan to retain at least 10 percent of business in the country they have selected for their EU base.
